i met frank, of the sounds of the underground organization, in amsterdam. we listened to music and swam in the ij. i found out that sotu, which usually happens in the netherlands, was holding a festival in lithuania. i decided to go to vilnius to witness this, but also to learn something about my jewish-lithuanian roots. vilnius was unforgettable and amazing and so was the culture of experimental music and art that people there have created. this recording is of a presentation/jam that the sotu crew gave, just after a presentation from the very awesome, eastern daze music organizers, lcia and peter from praha. the sounds are improvised and recorded at night, in the backyard of the venclovų home - museum.
